Veg Cutlet Recipe | Mixed Vegetable Cutlet Recipe: It can be served as a snack in many homes. Restaurants have them listed in their menu for Vegetarian recipes. It stays top in the favorite recipes. Here are the steps to prepare the Veg cutlet recipe.
Veg Cutlet Recipe:
- Potatoes – 2 cups
- Green cups – 1/2 cup
- Carrot – 1 large chopped
- Breadcrumb – 6 tablespoons
- Besan flour or rice flour – 2 tbsp
- Ginger – 3/4 tbsp grated
- Garam Masala – 3/4 tsp
- Salt – As needed
- Coriander leaves – Handful chopped
- Oil – As needed
How to cook Veg Cutlet:
Chop beans, carrot, and the potatoes into cubes. You can use cauliflower, beetroot, and cabbage as well. Add green peas as well.
Cook them together in a cooker or a steamer. It should be soft-cooked and firm. It should not be mushy or soggy.
Take a spoon or a fork and mash them together.
Now add coriander leaves, green chilies, garam masala, ginger paste, cumins, and mix them all together with the veggies.
Add breadcrumbs. I prefer to use powdered poha. Poha absorbs moisture from the vegetables more than the breadcrumbs.
Mix them all together. It should be sticky or soggy. Take a small portion of the mixture and make patties.
Now make a small portion of batter using the rice flour. Add the patties to the batter and coat them on both sides.
Then mix with the breadcrumbs. Make sure coat on both the sides.
Repeat the same for all the patties and place them on a plate. Let it as it is for 5 to 10 minutes. This will make the breadcrumbs to stick with the patties.
Take a pan and heat oil in it. Now place the patties over it. Shallow fry the patties.
Turn the other sides and fry them until they turn golden in color.
Serve with any dip. Prefer Green chutney for this.
