Pudina Chutney Recipe | Mint Chutney Recipe: Among all the other chutney recipes, Pudina Chutney stands tall with its unique taste. Here is how to make the tasty pudina chutney:
Pudina Chutney Recipe:
- Coconut – 1/2 cup freshly chopped
- Pudina – 1 cup
- Chana dal – 3/4 tbsp
- Urad Dal – 3/4 tbsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Ginger – 1/2 inch
- Salt – As needed
- Green Chillies – 2 to 3
- Lemon juice – 1 1/2 tsp
- Oil – As Needed
- Red Chilli – 1 Broken
- Mustard – 1/4 tsp
- Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
- Hing – A pinch
How to make Pudina Chutney:
Take a cup of loosely packed pudina leaves and wash them in a pot with clean water. Repeat them for two times and drain the water.
Dry roast the dals (Chana Dal and Urad Dal) on a low flame and add 1/2 tsp of cumins to it.
Add a half cup of chopped coconut, 3 green chilies, roasted dals, pudina, cumin and salt along with a half inch ginger in a blender jar.
Blend them together first.
Add water as needed and blend them to a smooth paste. Sprinkle a tsp of lemon juice to it.
The pudina chutney can also be served without tempering as well. But the tempering will add a unique taste to the chutney. On a low flame add the red chili, mustard, urad dal and a pinch of Hing and fry them. Once the dal turns golden in color, switch off the stove. Pour the tempered mixture to the Chutney and mix them.
Serve this chutney with any dosa recipes.
