- Potato – 1 Large minced
- Onion – 1 Large Sliced
- Cumin – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger -1 tsp grated
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Fennel Powder – 1/8 tsp
- Salt – As needed
- Oil – As needed
- Mint or Coriander Leaves
- Bread – 8 slices
- Butter or Oil – For toasting
How to make Aloo Sandwich:
Take a pan and add oil to it. Once the oil gets heated add the cumins and let it splutter. Then add the grated ginger and saute until the raw smell goes off. Add the sliced onions and the green chilies and fry them until it turns golden in color.
Once the onion is fried, add the minced raw potato to it. Fry them for 3 to 4 minutes on a medium flame.
Then add enough water to cover the potatoes and cover the pan. Cook until the potatoes turn tender and soft cooked.
Now add the pepper powder, fennel powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and red chili powder to the cooked potatoes. Mix them together.
Saute them until the masala gives out a nice aroma. Everything should blend well and the potatoes should be soft cooked. It should be fairly dry as well.
Now take the bread sliced and smear butter or oil on the inner side of the bread. Then spread the curry on the bread in a thin layer. Sprinkle some coriander leaves if you wish to.
Keep the bread on a Toaster and toast them. If you don’t want a toaster, then you can also toast them in a pan or a Tawa as well.
Serve them hot as a breakfast or as a snack.
