Paneer Tikka Recipe | How to Cook Paneer Tikka: This is one of the favorites for all veggies. Today we are going to see how to cook Paneer Tikka in an oven. This is a homemade paneer tikka recipe.
Paneer Tikka Recipe:
- Paneer or Cottage Cheese – 250 grams
- Onion – 1 medium sized
- Bell Pepper (Capsicum) – Red, Green or Yellow
- Hung Curd or Thick Curd – 200 grams
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Carom – 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 to 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Jeera Powder – 1 tsp
- Dhania Powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry Mango Powder – 1 tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
- Lemon Juice – 1/2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Black salt – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
- Regular Salt – As required
How to Make Paneer Tikka:
Take a bowl and pour 200 grams Thick curd in it. Mix it and smoothen the Curd.
Now add one tsp of ginger garlic paste or a Crushed mixture of ginger garlic to the Curd.
Add all the above mentioned dry spices to the mixture along with a tablespoon of oil.
Now add Red chili powder to the mixture, this will add redness to the mixture.
Mix them well so that the spices and masalas get mixed properly to the mixture.
Now add 1/2 tsp of lemon juice and mix them thoroughly. Take the marinade and keep it aside.
Cut the bell peppers and onions into fine dice. You can also add tomatoes if you wanted to.
Cut the 250 grams of paneer (Cottage Cheese) into cubes. If you are ready to prepare homemade paneer then its the best option.
Add the veggies and the paneer to the mixture and mix them.
Add chat masala to the mixture and mix them thoroughly.
After mixing it correctly, Keep the marinated mixture for 2 hours in a refrigerator.
After two hours of marination, the mixture looks like this.
Take a skewer and insert the veggies and paneer to it.
Arrange them on a tray or a plate and brush it with oil. Now keep it in an oven and preheat it for 15 minutes at 240-degree celsius. After 15 minutes, turn the skewer and heat it again for another 15 minutes.
Once it is done, serve the paneer tikka by sprinkling a tsp of chat masala and lemon juice to it. Serve it with mint chutney, sliced onions, and lemon pieces.
