Mexican Rice Recipe | How to cook Mexican Rice: This is a wonderful dish for any Mexican Dinner. Here is how to cook all time favourite Mexican Rice.
Mexican Rice Recipe:
- Vegetable Oil – 3 tbsp
- Long Grained Rice – 1 cup
- Garlic Salt – 1 tsp
- Ground Cummin – 1/2 tsp
- Chopped Onions – 1/4 cup
- Tomato Sauce – 1/2 cup
- Water – 2 cups
How to cook Mexican Rice:
Take an onion and peel it. Chop the onion into smaller pieces and make sure you have a quarter cup of chopped onions. Keep it aside for a moment.
Take a cooking pan and heat three tablespoons of vegetable oil in the pan.
Once the oil gets heated, add one cup of long grained rice to the oil.
Stir the rice on medium flame until it turns brown in colour.
As the rice is cooking, sprinkle one tsp of garlic salt to the rice.
Sprinkle half a tsp of ground cumin as well.
Mix them well until the rice turns golden in colour.
Then add 1/4 cup of chopped onions and stir them well. Cook until the onions is tender.
When the onions are cooked stir in half a cup of tomato sauce. Stir them well.
Then add 2 cups of water to the mixture. Bring the mixture to the boiling state. Stir them well until they boil.
Then cover the pan and cook it for 20 to 30 minutes until all the water gets absorbed.
Garnish the rice with cilantro and serve it with your favourite Mexican dish.
