Kadai Paneer Recipe | Restaurant Style Kadai Paneer: It is different from the other Paneer Recipes and stays favorite for most of the Vegetarian Recipes. Here is how to cook the tasty restaurant style Kadai Paneer Recipe:
Kadai Paneer Recipe:
- Coriander Seeds – 2 tablespoons
- Red Chilies – 3 to 4
- Cashew nuts – 6
- Onions – 2 Large (Cubed) and a medium cubed and layer separated
- Tomatoes – 2 Large Chopped
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – 3/4 tsp
- Kasuri Methi – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger Julienne – 1 tsp
- Coriander Leaves – Handful Chopped
- Paneer – 250 grams
- Capsicum – 1/2 cup chopped
Restaurant Style Kadai Paneer:
Take a blender and add the coriander seeds along with the red chilies. It is the main ingredient for the Kadai Masala.
Blend it to a coarse or fine powder to suit your taste. Once done, set it aside.
Now Heat a pan with little oil on a high flame. Add the cubed onions and cashew and saute them until they turn golden in color.
Add the tomatoes and fry them until it turns mushy and soft. Add salt during this process.
Once it is cooked, set it aside and cool them.
Add the cooled onion-tomato mixture to a blender jar.
Blend it to smooth paste without adding water to it.
In a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil. Add the capsicum and onions and toss them frequently.
Now add the paneer and toss it for 60 to 90 seconds. Do not let the paneer to turn hard. Once done, keep it aside.
In the same pan, add another tablespoon if oil and saute a teaspoon of ginger garlic paste until the raw smell goes off.
Now add the Kadai masala blended earlier to this pan and saute them.
Once they give out a nice aroma, add the tomato onion puree.
Fry them for a couple of minutes and add a half teaspoon of garam masala along with a teaspoon of red chili powder.
Mix them well and fry for 2 minutes.
Add about 3/4 cup of water and stir well.
Allow the gravy to boil and in the end add a teaspoon of Kasuri methi.
Now add the sauteed paneer, onion and capsicum that was set aside earlier. Switch off the stove.
Mix well and garnish with ginger Juliennes and chopped coriander leaves. Transfer it to a bowl.
Once everything is done, allow it to rest for at least 15 minutes. It makes the paneer to absorb the gravy. Serve it along with Roti or Rice.
