French Fries Recipes | Homemade Crispy French Fries: This is one of the favourite starters for most of us. Crispy French Fries are always in the default list on a lunch or a dinner. Here is the method to cook crispy french fries.
French Fries Recipes:
- Potato – 1 (Cut Evenly)
- Vegetable Oil – 1 Quart
- Salt – to taste
Take a Potato and cut the sides/edges of the potato.
Now cut the potato into four large pieces on the sides.
Again cut the larger pieces into rectangular shaped finger-like pieces.
Put the cut potatoes into water and soak them.
Let the potatoes get soaked in the water for 30 minutes. Change the water twice or thrice during this time and soak them.
Transfer the potatoes to a paper towel and clean the pieces so that the water gets drained.
Take oil in a separate pan and heat the oil.
Put the potato wedges into oil and start frying them.
The oil should be maintained at 275 degrees F during this process.
Fry the potatoes for just 5 minutes and transfer them to a paper towel. During this process, the potatoes don’t get the crispy flavour. Refrigerate and cool the potato wedges.
Heat the oil to 350 degrees F.
Again add the wedges in the heated oil and fry them.
It might take around 10 to 15 minutes for the wedges to turn golden in colour.
You can feel the difference in the fries; the moisture content would have gone down. The wedges will turn golden in colour and look crispy. During that stage, remove the fries from the oil.
To remove the excess oil from the french fries, transfer it to a paper towel and remove the excess oil.
Serve the french fries with tomato ketchup. Crispy french fries is ready 🙂
