Fish Fry Recipe | How to cook Fish Fry: When you are fed up with other Non-Vegetarian recipes, this fish recipe is the priority. The fish fry is loved by most of the kids and many adults. Here is how to cook this crispy Fish Fry.
Fish Fry Recipe:
- Fish – 1/2 kg fillets
- Oil – As needed
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – As needed
- Salt – As needed
- Turmeric – 1/8 tsp
- Garam Masala – 3/4 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Rice flour – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Besan / Gram Flour – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Saunf – 1/2 tsp
- Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
- Kasuri Methi – 1/4 tsp
How to fry Fish:
Take Garam Masala, lemon juice, salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and chili powder and mix them together. Taste the marinated mixture to check salt and adjust the salt if needed.
Crush the Saunf and Ajwain and powder it. Now mix them along with rice flour, besan flour, Kasuri methi, red chili powder, and salt. It is a dry mixture hence don’t add any water to it. Just mix all these dry ingredients together and make it as a dry mixture.
Now take a piece of fish and marinate with the first marinated mixture. Once marination is completed, keep it aside for at least 30 minutes. More you marinate, more the softness you get from the fish. Then take it and coat both the sides of the fish with the second marination. Keep it aside again for 15 minutes until the dry ingredients mix with the fish.
Take a Tawa and 3/4 tsp of oil. Spread the oil in the Tawa and add the marinated fish. Fry them on both sides until it masala mixes with the fish and turns crusty.
Now add little more oil and fry until the fish turns golden in color. Flip carefully on both sides else the crust would come out.
Garnish with onions and serve the fish fry hot.
