Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe | How to Cook Fried Chicken: Fried chicken is always a favorite for many of us. Kids love to eat fried chicken than any other chicken recipes. Here is how we cook crispy fried chicken.
Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe:
- Chicken – 4 pounds (cut into pieces)
- Buttermilk – 1 cup
- All purpose flour – 2 cups
- Paprika – 1 tsp
- Salt and Pepper – As needed for taste
- Oil – 2 Quarts
How to Cook Fried Chicken:
Take two cups od all-purpose flour in an extra large plastic bag.
Then, add 1 tsp of Paprika to the flour.
Now add salt and pepper to the mixture. Salt and pepper are for the taste.
Mix them together and set it aside.
Then pour a cup of Buttermilk in a shallow bowl and let it as it is for few minutes.
Take 4 pounds of chicken and clean them. You can remove the skin of the chicken.
Take a piece of chicken and marinate it with the buttermilk on both the sides.
Put into the bag containing the flour mixture and mix them thoroughly. Shake the plastic bag so that the flour gets mixed well on the chicken. The flour should get coated all over the chicken.
Now place the coated chicken on a tray so that the excess flour gets removed from the chicken.
Take a dry towel and cover the coated chicken. This is a crucial step as the flour changes to a paste like consistent mixture with a crispy texture.
Once the texture is formed you can remove the towel.
Meanwhile, heat 2 quarts of oil in a large skillet until it gets heated about 375 degrees F.
Then add the chicken pieces to the heated oil. Don’t overcrowd the pan. Turn it to brown on both the sides. You need to cook it for 10 minutes each side.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil.
Place it on a paper tray to remove the excess oil from the chicken.
Crispy Fried Chicken is ready to be served.
