Chicken Lollipop Recipe:
- Chicken – 1/2 kg drummettes
- Oil – As needed
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 1/4 tbsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/8 tsp
- Corn Flour – 4 tbsp
- Onion – 1 Medium
- Ginger – 3/4 tbsp
- Garlic – 3/4 tbsp
- Soya Sauce – 1 tsp
- Vinegar – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli powder – 3/4 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Coriander – For Garnishing
How to Prepare Chicken Lollipop:
Soak the chicken in buttermilk for at least an hour. Soaking in water makes the chicken soft and tender.
Remove the skin and fats. Using a knife push the flesh to one part of the bone.
Drain the buttermilk completely and sprinkle the chili powder, spice powder, ginger garlic paste, and pepper powder. Toss them together.
Now mix the corn flour with a pinch of salt and add it to the bowl.
Mix them with the chicken flesh on the one side and keep it on a separate plate.
Heat oil in a separate pan. Then add the chicken and fry them. You can also use an oven. Preheat the oven to 240 degrees C and cook them for 20 to 30 minutes in the oven. If you frying the chicken in oil then cook them on a medium flame.
Once cooked, drain them on a paper towel.
Take 1.5 tbsp of oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic. Fry them until the raw smell goes off.
Then add the onions and fry them until they turn golden in color. Meanwhile, prepare the red chili paste.
Once the onions get fried, add a tsp of vinegar along with a tsp of soy sauce.
Add a pinch of sugar along with the red chili paste and fry them without burning.
Then add 1/2 cup of water and stir them.
Allow the sauce to thicken.
Add the chicken and toss with the spicy sauce.
Garnish with the coriander leaves. Serve this as an appetizer or a side dish to a meal.
