Roasted Chicken Recipe:
- Chicken – 1 whole, giblets removed
- Salt and black pepper – To Taste
- Onion Powder – 1 tbsp
- Margarine – 1/2 cup
- Stalk Celery – 1 leaves removed
How to roast chicken:
The first step is to preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Take the full chicken and remove the giblets in it. Then rinse it in the cold water both inside and out.
Pat the chicken with a dry paper towel and drain the water completely.
Once it is dried, put the chicken in a roasting pan.
Season the chicken with salt and black pepper both inside the cavity and outside of it. Then sprinkle a tablespoon of onion powder all over the chicken outside.
Take half a cup of margarine or butter and put 3 tablespoons of Margarine inside the cavity of the chicken. Use the left margarine to create dollops outside the chicken.
Finally, take one stalk celery and chop the leaves. Then coarsely chop it into three or four pieces.
Put the celery inside the cavity of the chicken.
Bake the chicken uncovered in a preheated oven for an hour and 15 minutes or until the internal temperature of chicken reached an 180 degrees F.
Once the chicken is cooked, take the chicken out and baste with the melted margarine and drippings. This is the tasty part.
Then cover the chicken with an aluminum foil and let it rest for 30 minutes before serving.
The whole roasted chicken makes a great presentation and a terrific meal.
