Stuffed Chapati: In this recipe, Chapthi is stuffed with a mixture of veggies, chicken, and spices. This recipe can be prepared in an hour and it takes almost the same time as preparing rotis with sabzi. This recipe is similar to the Italian Calzone, in which pizza dough is stuffed with veggies, meat, eggs, and cheese. In this recipe, Chapati dough is stuffed with the same ingredients as Italian Calzone. To make this recipe, just stuff the chapati and then cook the chapati in a pan. You can also bake the chapati in the oven. I prepared the stuffing with both veggies and chicken, for the vegetarian version you can easily skip the chicken.

Stuffed Chapati can be served as a main dish. You can also pack these chapatis in a tiffin box as a lunch or for picnics as it will not get spoiled quickly. You can also prepare this chapati for get-togethers and potlucks. You can make the same recipe using pizza dough or naan dough instead of chapati dough. I used chapati dough, as wheat flour is healthy.

Instructions
  1. First, in a pan heat oil and then add mustard seeds. Saute for a minute.

  2. Next, add ginger-garlic paste, shallots, salt, red chili powder, pepper powder, chicken masala, garam masala, and veggies. Stir well. Next, add cooked and shredded chicken and eggs. Mix well. At last add lemon juice to the mixture. Keep it aside.

  3. Next, in a bowl add wheat flour, yogurt, oil, and salt. Mix well.

  4. Next, add some hot water to the wheat mixture.

  5. Next, knead into a soft dough. Let the dough to rest for about 30 minutes.

  1. From the dough make small balls.

  2. Next, dust the balls with wheat flour.

  3. Next, roll the balls using a rolling pin or chapati maker.

  4. Next, add 1 to 2 tsp of the stuffing into the middle of the chapati and fold it gently using your hands.

  5. Next, press the edges using your hands gently so that the stuffing will not come out of the chapati.

  6. Next, in a hot pan cook the stuffed chapati one by one on a low to medium flame. After one side is cooked, flip and cook the other side.

  7. Serve the Stuffed Chapati hot.
