Gobi Manchurian Recipe | How to cook Gobi Manchurian: This is a dry version of Gobi Manchurian. This is the way to cook homemade Gobi Manchurian or Cauliflower Manchurian.

Gobi Manchurian Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower – 1 medium
  • All-Purpose Flour (Maida) – 1 cup
  • Corn Starch – 4 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli – 1/2 tsp
  • Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
  • Water – As required
  • Oil – 5 to 6 tbsp

For the Sauce:

  • Onion – 3/4 cup chopped (Reserve few for Garnishing)
  • Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) – 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Ginger – 1.5 finely chopped
  • Garlic – 8 to 10 medium finely chopped
  • Green Chillies – 2 finely chopped
  • Celery – 1/2 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce – 1.5 tbsp
  • Tomato Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper powder – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as required.

How to cook Gobi Manchurian:

Break or chop the Cauliflower into medium sized florets. Heat water with salt and boil it. Add the florets into the hot water and boil them for 15 to 20 minutes. After cooking drain the water and keep it aside.

In a separate bowl add the flour, Corn Starch, Pepper, chilli, Soy sauce together.

Mix them and add water as required to make it a smooth batter.

Now dip the cauliflower floret into the batter.

Preheat the oil in a pan and add the cauliflower floret to the oil and fry them. Don’t overcrowd the pan. You can fry the cauliflower florets in batches.

When one side gets fried, cook the other side of floret. Repeat this until they turn brown.

Once the floret gets fried, drain them on a paper towel so that the excess oil. Keep it aside.

Now in the same pan, add chopped ginger, green chillies and garlic. Fry them for half a minute.

After the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes off, add the chopped onions and capsicum. Increase the flame and stir until the capsicum gets cooked.

Then add soy sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper and salt to the above and mix them.

Now add the fried cauliflower to the above mixture and stir them.

Stir for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce gets mixed with all the cauliflower florets.
